Verify the App Store Listing

Available exclusively on the App StoreDownload on the App Store

A paid client for Apple platforms. One-time purchase, available exclusively on the App Store. Verify the storefront and app details before buying. After installation, use your own subscription or server details.

Prices, compatibility, system requirements, and purchase eligibility are as shown on the App Store page.

STORE / ACCOUNT REGION

Storefront and account region

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. If it doesn’t appear in search, first check the country or region of the Apple ID you use for the App Store instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which storefront you see. Your device’s display language, regional formats, and current location don’t tell you which storefront your account uses.

This page links to the U.S. App Store listing. When you open it, the App Store may show a message based on the account signed in on your device. Seeing the app details on the web doesn’t guarantee that your account can buy the app. Check availability, currency, and payment requirements on the App Store confirmation screen.

How to check your account region

On your device, go to “Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.” Labels may vary with your device language; follow what appears on your screen. This is where you can check your account’s current region and access the system’s region-change options. Don’t confuse it with the Region setting under Settings for date, language, and number formats.

If you need to change your region, review the conditions and prompts shown there. Your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing settings, and payment details may affect the process. Whether the change can be completed depends on Apple’s review. Check your account status before proceeding. This guide can’t guarantee a region change will succeed, and you don’t need to keep changing account settings just to install an app.

VERIFY / THREE CHECKS

Verify the app: check these three details

Shadowrocket is sometimes referred to by a Chinese nickname. The product name on the App Store should be Shadowrocket. Don’t rely on a similar name or search ranking alone.

01 / DEVELOPER

Developer name

Shadow Launch Technology Limited

Check the developer or seller details on the product page, letter for letter. A similar spelling or a different company name doesn’t identify the same app.

02 / ARTWORK

Official app icon

The icon has a blue-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the official icon in this site’s header.

Use the icon as one clue, not as the sole basis for your decision. Also check the developer and app ID.

03 / PRODUCT ID

App ID

932747118

The product page URL ends with id932747118. The storefront portion of the URL may differ, but the app ID should match.

App Store search results may include apps with the same or similar names, or show other related results first. Open the product page and check all three details above before buying. A short title in search results often isn’t enough to identify an app. Even if you recognize the icon, check the full developer name instead of relying on its colors.

Before paying, check the app name and price on the system confirmation screen. If the name, developer, or app ID doesn’t match, stop and return to the product link on this page to verify the listing. Similar keywords in an app description don’t mean it’s the same product as Shadowrocket.

Verify the listing again when reinstalling: open the app details from your purchase history and check its identity. The same App Store page shows update history, compatible devices, and current system requirements, so there’s no need to guess from a search result. This official manual explains how to verify the app; the App Store listing is the source for current product information.

IPHONE / FIRST OPEN

Get Shadowrocket on iPhone and open it for the first time

Check device compatibility before buying

Expand the compatibility details on the product page and check that your iPhone meets the requirements. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements; don’t assume that what works on another device will work on yours. Also check available storage, network connection, and the account signed in under Media & Purchases.

If you haven’t bought the app, follow the App Store payment flow and review the confirmation. If you’ve already bought it, check your account’s purchased items first. The App Store shows download progress, waiting status, and any error messages. If the download remains pending, address the App Store prompt rather than treating it as an in-app connection issue.

System authorization for the first connection

After installing Shadowrocket, import your own subscription or enter your server details before trying to connect. The first time you enable a connection feature, the system may ask to let the app add a VPN configuration and require device authentication. This system authorization sets up the network configuration; it isn’t a second purchase of the app.

Review and approve the prompt only when you’ve initiated the connection and confirmed that the request is from Shadowrocket. If you cancel for now, check your settings in the app and try again later. Authorization doesn’t guarantee that your server details are correct; you may still need to check your node, Global Routing, and connection results.

If the app is installed but you can’t get online, first distinguish between a connection switch that’s off, incomplete system authorization, and an active connection where requests are failing. Each requires different checks. When getting started, verify one connection at a time instead of changing multiple settings at once. For import steps, see the subscription import and first connection guide. If you already have a specific issue, see the troubleshooting guide.

IPAD / PURCHASE APPLICABILITY

iPad and other Apple devices

Your app purchase and connection settings on each device are managed separately.

Shadowrocket is available for iPhone and iPad. Buy it once with an Apple ID, then install it on either device from that account’s purchase history. Check the App Store page for purchase eligibility. Before you begin, confirm the account under Media & Purchases—not just the account shown at the top of Settings—to avoid thinking you need to pay again when the purchase was made with a different account.

On iPad, open the App Store, go to your account’s purchased items, find Shadowrocket, and follow the prompts. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If the store shows a compatibility warning, check your device and system rather than dismissing the warning because the app works on another iPhone.

The iPad’s larger screen may give lists and details more room, and the page layout may differ from iPhone. When following the guide, use interface labels such as Home, Config, and Settings and the names of the relevant options to find your way around. Buttons don’t need to appear in exactly the same place. Complete any system authorization on the iPad you’re using.

Your purchase history doesn’t automatically fill in your subscription URL or server details. After installation, import your own subscription or server details on the iPad, or restore them from a backup you’ve kept, then check the selected node and Global Routing. Being able to install from your purchase history doesn’t mean configurations have synced across all your devices.

RESTORE / PURCHASE RECORD

New device, reinstall, and restore purchases

Your app purchase is linked to the Apple ID used to pay, not to a particular device. When you get a new device or reinstall the app, sign in to the App Store with the original purchase account. You can usually download it again at no extra cost. First confirm that the purchase is still in your account, then move your subscription and configuration to the new device. This helps keep account issues separate from data recovery.

  1. Check the purchase account. Check the Apple ID signed in under Media & Purchases and confirm it’s the one used to buy Shadowrocket. Seeing the same iCloud account on your device isn’t enough to confirm that the App Store purchase account also matches.
  2. Open your purchase history. Go to “App Store → Account → Purchased” and look for Shadowrocket. On some system versions, this option may be under the app list; follow what appears on your device. Once you find the app, check its name and developer.
  3. Reinstall and open the app. Tap the cloud icon next to the purchased item or follow the App Store prompts. If a price appears, pause and check your account, order history, and the product details before confirming another payment.
  4. Restore your connection details. Reimport your existing subscription or server details, or restore a configuration you saved earlier. Then check Global Routing and system connection authorization before testing access.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore your configuration

The App Store handles app downloads and purchase history. Subscription URLs, node selections, and Config files are separate data. If you still have your old device, first check what you need to keep and save it using the export or backup options available in the app. Whether the data is included in a device backup depends on the backup method and actual restore results. Don’t assume it will be there before erasing your old device.

Subscription URLs may contain access credentials. Handle them carefully and only transfer them between your own devices; don’t post them publicly. After restoring, don’t just check whether node names appear. Make sure the URL updates, the right configuration is selected, and any required authorization is complete. If an old link no longer works, check the status of your existing service with your provider.

Can’t find the app in Purchased?

First check that the app hasn’t been hidden and that the original purchase appears in your order history. A change in account region or current storefront availability may also affect redownloading; follow the App Store prompts. To check a charge, use the account and purchase history options in the App Store on your device. Family Sharing availability depends on the product listing and account settings; refer to the App Store page rather than assuming a family member’s purchase will appear in your own history.

PRICE / ONE-TIME PURCHASE

What the one-time purchase covers

One-time app purchase ≠ connectivity plan

Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app. The U.S. App Store reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase; the app isn’t billed monthly. Each storefront charges in its local currency, and prices may change. The final amount is shown on the App Store page and system payment confirmation screen. Don’t use figures from old articles to estimate the current price, or assume different currencies mean different products.

A one-time payment gives you access to the client; it doesn’t include a server, subscription, or connection service. This site doesn’t provide or sell nodes or subscriptions. It explains how to add your own details to Shadowrocket and configure the app. Confirm the app purchase and the status of your service separately.

If your connection service has its own expiration date, data limits, or billing terms, those are between you and your original provider. They aren’t determined by your App Store purchase. If a subscription has expired or won’t update, buying the app again usually won’t solve the problem. Check the original link and service status first.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for updates in your account. Subscription updates are handled in Shadowrocket for your own subscriptions; one doesn’t replace the other. To see what changed in an app update, check the App Store release notes rather than relying on this purchase guide for current details.

PURCHASE / QUICK ANSWERS

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQs

Read the exact system message first, then choose the relevant checks. Expand a question below to see the answer.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which storefront you see. Check your account region under Media & Purchases, then check availability on the product page. Your device language and current location don’t determine your storefront.

The product page opens, but the download won’t start. What should I check?

Note the exact message from the App Store, then check your account region, device compatibility, payment status, available storage, and network connection. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. Tapping Buy again won’t resolve account or payment restrictions.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket in your App Store account’s purchased items. You can usually download it again at no extra cost. If a price appears, first check the purchase account and order history. Restoring the app doesn’t restore subscriptions or configurations.

If I bought it for iPhone, can I install it on iPad?

After purchasing with the same Apple ID, you can install Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad from your purchase history. Check the App Store page for device compatibility, system requirements, and purchase eligibility. Import or restore subscriptions and configurations separately on each device.

Can I get Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your device. System requirements, compatibility, and eligibility for the same purchase are as shown on the App Store page.

The app interface is in English. How do I follow the guide?

This official manual uses interface labels such as Home, Config, Settings, Subscribe, and Global Routing, so you can match them directly. The interface language doesn’t affect purchase history. To change the language, check the language options provided by your system for the app; options vary by device.

Installed the app? Continue with the first import and connection guide. For interface labels and rule keywords, see the glossary.
